TASTE OF SANTA MONICA

**** UPDATE: 2010 TASTE OF SANTA MONICA HAS BEEN POSTPONED ******

Whether young or old, self-proclaimed epicureans who want to sample the variety of delicacies offered in the seaside city of Santa Monica should attend the Taste of Santa Monica. This fun-filled food festival is hosted by the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce.

Last year, Taste featured an eclectic mix of 60 restaurants serving dishes sure to tease one’s taste buds, and guests ate to their heart’s content. “We are a food city and we take pride in the variety of dining experiences our restaurants in Santa Monica can offer our residents, visitors, and community” said Laurel Rosen, president of the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce.

The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of California – Los Angeles provides chef demos, led by the Academic Director of the International Culinary School Chef Christophe Bernard.

In 2009, Cirque du Soleil partnered with the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce to introduce a bigger and better Taste of Santa Monica. Last year, Taste was twice as large and featured many more restaurants as well as entertainment that is not to be missed. Overwhelming attendance over the past few years has pushed the event to double its size, yet the main focus is still on providing a quality experience for each guest in attendance.

Guests enjoyed the Southern California sunshine, but will also be pleased to find plenty of shade throughout the event site. And order a refreshing cocktail from the cash bar that will be set up at the center of the pier deck.
